Fleet Management Limited, the manager of the oil tanker, Torm Eric (49,999 dwt, 2006 built) report that a crew member suffered injury whilst the vessel was on passage through the Indian Ocean at approximately 0955 GMT on 27th October 2020. The MRCC Port Blair were immediately alerted and a helicopter transfer has been arranged. The wellbeing of the crewman is Fleet Management Limited’s main priority at this time. The crew members family have been informed and are being regularly updated on the situation. All the relevant authorities have been advised and are responding. The incident has been reported to the flag state, P&I Club and insurers. Further information will be provided once available.
