DRILL!!! DRILL!!! DRILL!!! THIS MESSAGE IS PARTY OF A SAFETY DRILL
Fleet Management report the bunkering tanker TRISTAR SPIRIT (634 dwt, Built 2010), experienced an oil spill whilst loading cargo at Fujairah Port at 700 LT, 26 Oct 2021. Cargo valves were shut and operations ceased immediately, however a minor spill was reported over board and on deck. Pollution prevention was immediately initiated with the assistance of Port Control to minimize any pollution. Arrangements have been made to deploy booms to contain the spill. The vessel is now safe alongside, onboard clean-up has been completed and no injuries have been reported. All relevant authorities have been informed.
