Fleet Management Strengthens Leadership Team with Key Appointments

Fleet Management announces the appointment of Sean McCormack as Product Director for the Dry Bulk Fleet in Hong Kong and Captain Raja Sager as Director of the Project Management Office. The additions to Fleet Management’s leadership team reflect the company’s continuing focus on operational excellence, the highest safety standards and a commitment to innovate, grow and lead in the global maritime the industry.

Sean will join the company on Monday, June 16, 2025, with Captain Sager commencing in late June. Their combined expertise further strengthens Fleet Management’s capabilities across technical operations, project delivery, and product development.

Sean McCormack joins as Product Director for the Dry Bulk Fleet in Hong Kong, contributing over three decades of global maritime expertise. His career spans both sea-going and senior shore-based roles, with a focus on technical operations, gas fleet management, and organisational leadership. Most recently, Sean served as General Director of Orion Global Transport in Paris, where he led the operational scale-up and oversaw the technical and commercial performance of a venture backed by a major US hedge fund. Previously, Sean held senior positions at Northern Marine Group, including Ship Management Director and General Manager of the Gas Fleet, where he was responsible for a fleet of over 140 vessels and a global 5,700-strong maritime workforce. His appointment reinforces Fleet’s investment in its growing Dry Bulk Fleet, strengthening our strategic expertise in this critical sector.

Captain Raja Sager joins as Director of the Project Management Office, bringing over 40 years of maritime and executive experience, most recently as Vice President, HSSE at MISC Berhad. Prior to this, he served as the Managing Director of MISC’s ship management business. A seasoned executive with a strong background in business transformation and complex project delivery, Captain Sager has led the development and execution of group-wide strategies across Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Sustainability, playing a key role in advancing MISC’s Net Zero 2050 ambitions. Captain Sager has led numerous high-value, technically complex projects, including the construction of Dynamic Positioning Shuttle Tankers and the commissioning of Malaysia’s first LNG Twin 2 Floating Storage Units (FSUs). At Fleet Management, he will lead strategic project delivery and transformation initiatives, driving innovation and sustainability across the organization.
