DRILL! DRILL! DRILL!
Fleet Management Limited, the manager of the crude oil tanker, MV HIGHLANDER (IMO 1023920) reports that the vessel experienced a power failure arising from main engine issues and subsequently grounded at approximately 1900LT on 20th May 2025 while transiting Singapore straits.
All the crew remain safely on board and no injuries have been reported. At this time there is no oil pollution reported, and the situation is being closely monitored. All appropriate authorities have been notified and we continue to work closely with the Singapore MPA in order to refloat the vessel at the earliest opportunity. A full investigation will be carried out.
