Representing Fleet at INTERCARGO’s Industry Forum
Capt. Ranvijay Singh Rana, Director, Dry Cargo Operations, represented Fleet at INTERCARGO’s semi-annual meeting in Guangzhou. Discussions focused on decarbonisation, regulatory change, vetting, and operational excellence. Prior to this, INTERCARGO leaders visited Fleet's Hong Kong HQ. Ajit Natu, Director, Technical Operations, joined an expert panel in Athens for the upcoming second edition of the STS Transfer Guide. Key updates include clarified procedures, superintendent roles, and harmonised checklists. Fleet proudly contributed to the 18-month effort to enhance clarity, safety, and consistency in global STS operations.

Shilpa Bali, Manager, Training, represented Fleet at India’s Day of the Seafarer celebration. Speaking on the IMO’s theme, she championed seafarers as ocean custodians and sustainability advocates. She also backed the “My Harassment-Free Ship” campaign, calling for inclusive, respectful working environments. Her advocacy reflects our strong commitment to seafarer wellbeing.

Capt. Rajalingam Subramaniam, CEO, presented the ‘CEO Award Certificate’ to 15 Site Managers who completed the 2025 Training Programme. Capt. Raja delivered a speech congratulating the recipients and officially closed the event, celebrating their dedication and professionalism in maintaining excellence throughout new ship construction.

The Caravel Group’s cricket team clinched the Winner’s Plate at the 2025 Kowloon Cricket Club Corporate Sixes Tournament in Hong Kong. The team amassed a staggering 399 runs across five matches, winning the final by 24-runs against Morgan Stanley. Captain Soma Nair, Executive Director, finished as the third highest run scorer in the tournament.
The Hong Kong Shipowners Association’s Table Tennis Tournament and Fun Day 2025, saw 46 Fleet colleagues competing in men’s and women’s singles, doubles, and team categories. This year proved the most successful yet, with Fleet Management proudly securing 13 medals and 2 cups.

Fleet Management's QCD department hosted a special Diwali-themed lunch, Pahadon Ke Swaad, at our Borivali headquarters for the India leadership team. Featuring over 15 dishes inspired by Himachali and Uttarakhandi cuisine, the meal was prepared by Prepared by four Chief Cooks, who were assisted by eight general Stewards. The event showcased teamwork, creativity, and festive culinary excellence, under the guidance of Ashwin Joshi, General Manager, QCD.

Fleet Management was the Platinum Sponsor of Bollywood Night, a Diwali celebration organised by Sanskriti Cyprus under the auspices of the High Commission of India in Cyprus. Over 700 guests, including dignitaries, enjoyed an evening of music, dance, and fireworks.

Our Fleet Personnel Department (FPD) organised a focused workshop for its Managers and Senior Managers to strengthen leadership skills and improve how different generations are managed at work. The session highlighted the value of empathy, open communication and trust. Through group activities and discussions, leaders explored ways to build inclusive, collaborative and high-performing teams.
