Fleet Management has opened a new office in Kochi, marking an important step in strengthening support for seafarers and reinforcing its presence in a key maritime hub in Southern India.

The new facility reflects Fleet Management’s continued investment in people, teamwork and proximity to major shipping centres. It supports our commitment to providing consistent, reliable services to both seafarers and shipowners.

A central hub for operations and collaboration

Spanning more than 3,000 square feet, the Kochi office brings manning, technical and QHSE teams together under one roof. Located close to the International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT), Kochi, it serves as a reporting and coordination base for more than 3,000 Fleet seafarers.

Designed to encourage engagement and collaboration, the space includes a dedicated seafarer collaboration zone and all‑hands meeting rooms. The office is led by Sajan Thommachi, Deputy General Manager, Fleet Personnel Department.

Sustainability at the core

Sustainability was a key consideration throughout the development of the facility. The office incorporates energy‑efficient systems, improved air quality, responsible water use and recycled construction materials, supporting Fleet’s wider environmental commitments.

Inauguration and industry engagement

The inauguration ceremony was led by Capt. Deepak Correa, COO, Fleet India Operations, and attended by representatives from Cochin Shipyard, the Mercantile Marine Department, the Company of Master Mariners of India and the Nautical Institute, alongside colleagues and partners from across the maritime industry.

In a special gesture, Mr. M C Haridas, who commenced Fleet’s operations in Kochi, was also present. Following the ceremony, an interactive session explored the role of the new office in supporting Fleet Management’s growing operations, services and industry partnerships across Southern India.
