Fleet Management joins the global maritime community in celebrating Day of the Seafarer 2025, recognising extraordinary contributions of seafarers worldwide.
On this Day of the Seafarer, we pause to honour our 27,000 seafarers and maritime professionals, the very heart of global trade. We thank you for your resilience, commitment, dedication, and for consistently maintaining the highest standards of safety and excellence onboard.

From IMI cadets just beginning their voyage, to seasoned officers leading with wisdom – each of you plays a vital role to keep our fleets moving every day,” said Dr Harry Banga, Chairman.

Behind every successful voyage lies a robust network of support. We deeply value and recognise the tireless efforts of our onshore teams, who ensure our seafarers are safe, well-prepared, and empowered. We invite all seafarers, onshore supporting teams and their families to join us in celebrating Day of Seafarer.
Today, celebrations are in full swing. Our vessels and crewing offices around the world are recognising the invaluable contributions of our seafarers. Onshore celebrations include special catering and engagement activities for seafarers and their families. Onboard our vessels, management has initiated treats and celebrations, alongside seven leadership calls to connect with our teams at sea. Furthermore, our "Powered by People" photography competition encourages seafarers to capture and share their experiences of life onboard.
This year’s theme set by the IMO, “My Harassment-Free Ship,” serves as a powerful and timely reminder that safety at sea must encompass not only physical protection but also emotional and psychological wellbeing. A ship must be a place of fairness, respect and teamwork. At Fleet Management, we are committed to fostering a culture where every voice is heard, every concern is treated with seriousness and confidentiality, and every individual feels safe and valued. We believe everyone has a role to play in building a welcoming and inclusive workplace together.
