Fleet Management attends Maritime Cyprus Week 2025

Fleet Management joined Maritime Cyprus Week 2025 as a Gold Sponsor, reaffirming our commitment to Cyprus as a global maritime centre. Chairman Dr. Harry Banga, together with local leaders, met with government officials, shipowners, and industry partners to discuss the future of global shipping – with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and the human element.

Strengthening Maritime Partnerships

Dr. Harry Banga, Chairman and CEO of The Caravel Group, met with President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus for a bilateral meeting at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, where they discussed the vital role of shipping in Cyprus’s economy and its strategic positioning as a gateway to Europe. The President highlighted Cyprus’s significance in regional maritime logistics and trade and expressed his appreciation for Dr. Banga’s contributions in representing Cyprus’s interests in Hong Kong. He also thanked Dr. Banga for his continued support and leadership in enhancing Cyprus’s global presence.

President Christodoulides also visited Fleet Management’s exhibition booth at Maritime Cyprus 2025 during the opening of this year’s event. He met with local Fleet Management team members and reviewed Fleet’s key initiatives in sustainability, digital transformation, and crew welfare. His visit to the exhibition underscored the President’s strong support for Cyprus’ maritime community.

Showcasing Innovation and Global Reach

Fleet Management engaged with international clients and partners throughout Maritime Cyprus Week, exchanging perspectives on industry growth and collaboration. The event brought together prominent industry stakeholders, including H.E. Mr. Arsenio Dominguez, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization; Mr. Thomas A. Kazakos, Secretary General of the International Chamber of Shipping; and senior leaders from global bodies such as BIMCO, INTERTANKO, INTERCARGO, OCIMF, the International Transport Workers’ Federation, and the European Commission. Their participation highlighted the strategic importance of Maritime Cyprus Week as a forum for shaping the future of global shipping.

On the opening day of the conference, Fleet Management supported the lunch following the Opening Ceremony, helping to facilitate dialogue among key industry stakeholders.

Through its office in Nicosia, Cyprus, Fleet Management provides technical expertise to European clients and works closely with regulators and industry partners across the region. The newly opened office in neighbouring Athens further strengthens our global service capabilities and regional presence.
