Sanjay Chandra is the Executive Director overseeing our Tanker division for FLEET. He leads a team of senior leaders responsible for the technical management and safe operations of our tankers. In his role, he drives long-term strategic planning to generate business growth and value for our customers.

Sanjay is a seasoned executive leader who has played a key role in the expansion of our tanker fleet and digital transformation journey. He is passionate about serving customers based on quality and transparency – as well as helping people reach their full potential. He has made significant contributions to developing our process and procedures, which currently form FLEET’s operating guidelines.

With a career spanning almost 40 years, Sanjay started his sea-going career in 1984 and sailed on many types of vessels, in positions from Junior to Chief Engineer. The majority of his sailing was with premium oil majors. He came ashore in 1995 and worked with a leading classification agency as a Surveyor and Lead Auditor for ISM, ISO 9000 and ISO 14000. He joined FLEET in 2000 as a Technical Superintendent and progressed through our ranks to his current position in 2019.

Sanjay holds a degree in Marine Engineering from the Directorate of Marine Engineering Training (now known as Marine Engineering and Research Institute).
