With a career spanning over 30 years in the maritime industry, Sean McCormack brings a wealth of global experience and technical leadership to his role as Product Director for Dry Bulk Operations in Hong Kong. His background includes a blend of sea-going service and executive roles, with deep expertise in gas fleet operations, ship management, and maritime innovation.

Before joining Fleet Management, Sean served as General Director Orion Global Transport in Paris, an US hedge fund-backed venture, where he led the company’s operational build-out and oversaw its technical, commercial, and financial performance. He previously held senior leadership roles at Northern Marine Group, including Ship Management Director and General Manager of the Gas Fleet, where he managed over 140 vessels and led a global team of more than 5,700 maritime professionals.

Sean began his maritime journey with Shell International Shipping Services Ltd, rising to the rank of Chief Engineer during a 14-year sea-going career. He holds a Class 1 Steam Certificate of Competency, a Class 2 Combined Engineering Certificate, and a BTEC HND in Marine Technology from South Tyneside Nautical College.
