Ranvir Jatar

Director, QHSE Tankers Division

Ranvir Jatar is the Director of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) for our Tankers Division. He is also our Designated Person Ashore (DPA), along with Sathya Mandravanan – responsible for the effective implementation of our Safety Management System and for the verification and monitoring of all safety and pollution prevention activities.

Ranvir began his seagoing career as a Deck Cadet in 1981, rising through the ranks to the position of Master, which he held from 1994 to 2002. During this time he sailed on VLCCs, oil and chemical tankers, bulk carriers and general cargo vessels, which enabled him to gain a strong grasp of the individualities of each ship type.

After coming ashore as a Technical Superintendent in 2002, Ranvir has served in a wide variety of ship management roles, across technical, QHSE, marine operations and personnel divisions. Ranvir joined FLEET in 2008 in our Fleet Personnel department, before moving into our QHSE department.
