Sunil Kapoor is a Director of our Dry Bulk division, based in Cyprus. As part of his role,
Sunil is responsible for FLEET’s operations in Cyprus and London.
Sunil joined FLEET in 1996, after beginning his career at the Shipping Corporation of
India, and working for Lloyds Register as a Surveyor. While sailing, he spent three years
as a Chief Engineer. During his more than 25-year tenure with FLEET, Sunil has been
actively involved in all aspects of technical management, as well as the newbuilding
supervision of reefers, containers vessels and chemical tankers in Japanese and Korean
shipyards. He has been based in Cyprus since establishing the office in 2007.
Sunil is a member of the Board of Governors of the Cyprus Maritime Academy affiliated
to University of Nicosia, and a Board Member of the Cyprus Marine Club in Limassol. He
also participates in the technical committees of all major classification societies.
Sunil holds a degree in Marine Engineering from the Directorate of Marine Engineering
Training (now known as the Marine Engineering and Research Institute).
